Murder of Four Siblings: Hinjili Police Arrests Five Accused

Berhampur: The Hinjili Police has arrested five persons in connection with the murder of four siblings near Pitala Chaka in Hinjili Police station limits on 22nd March.

The five persons include Amiya Swain, Bahana Behara, Dipu Sethi, Chitrasen Sethi and Santosh Swain. Another accused in the case is absconding. The police also recovered the weapons used in the gruesome murder.

The absconding accused will be arrested soon, informed Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai at a press conference.

According to police, the four siblings belonging to Narendrapur village, who were murdered on the late night of 22nd March include three brothers and a nephew. These four were running a fast food center near the place of occurrence.

On the evening of the day of incident, there were exchange of hot words between the accused Amiya Swain, Bahatapati Behera and the deceased Sambhu Swain. Afterwards, in the late night same day, Amiya Swain along with other accused came to the place and attacked the brothers with wooden handle of spade, bamboo iron angle etc.

The critically injured persons were immediately shifted to SDH Hinjili and later to MKCH Berhampur where the doctors declared three of them brought dead. The fourth person died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
