Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of National Polio Immunization Day, a nationwide intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation programme has commenced from today. Children below five years will be given polio vaccine in this first round of the Pulse Polio Programme 2021. President Ram Nath Kovind has formally launched the first round of the Pulse Polio Programme 2021 yesterday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The campaign is being undertaken in all the states vigorously.
In Odisha also the state level Pulse Polio drive was kick started and will continue till February 2nd. In view of the immunization drive, Covid vaccination programme has been put on hold for three days.
