Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated brave-heart sisiters from Kendrapara district, Sabita Giri and Purnima Giri on being selected for National Bravery Awards 2019.
Braving high tides and dangerous crocodiles, they saved many lives risking their own from a capsized boat. Their courage is indeed an inspiration, the Chief Minister Tweeted.

The two sisters will be conferred with Indian Council for Child Welfare’s National Bravery Award for saving 10 persons from drowning in the Mahanadi at Nipania in Kendrapara district in January this year.
The duo will receive the awards at a function scheduled to be held in Delhi in January, 2020.
