Naveen Not to Celebrate His Birthday, Appeals to Help Poor and Donate Plasma

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday on October 16 in view of prevailing COVID-19 pandemic in the State.

Naveen, who will turn 74 on Friday, said that he is always indebted to the people of Odisha for their love, affection and blessings.

For the past eight months, everyone is going through a hard time because of COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Minister said while appealing people not to visit his residence to greet him.

He appealed the people to help the poor and destitute affected by the pandemic and donate blood and plasma at this challenging time.

Notably, the five-time Chief Minister had also not celebrated his birthday last year on account of devastation caused by cyclone Fani in the State.
