Naveen Pays Tributes to Two Odia Jawans Martyred in Galwan Valley, Announces Ex-Gratia of Rs 25 Lakh Each

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his humble tributes to Odia Jawans, who were martyred in a clash with the Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in Ladakh.

The Odia Jawans – Chandrakant Pradhan of Kandhamal district and Nanduram Soren of Mayurbhanj district, were among the 20 Indian Army soldiers who were killed in the clash on Monday night.

The Chief Minister praised their bravery and courage who have made supreme sacrifice for the motherland..

The Chief Minister has announced ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh each from CMRF to the next of the kin of the two martyrs and conveyed his deep sympathies to the bereaved families

Chandrakant joined the Indian Army six years ago and was part of Bihar 16-Regiment. Nanduram was also part of the Bihar 16-Regiment, according to reports.
