Bhubaneswar: A day after winning the Pipli bypoll with massive margin, newly-elected BJD MLA Rudrapratap Maharathy met party President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence here on Monday.
The BJD supermo congratulated Rudrapratap Maharathy for his landslide victory in the by-election and advised him to work for the development of Pipli assembly constituency.
Maharathy expressed his deep gratitude to the Chief Minister for reposing faith on him and thanked the people of Pipli for their support.
The newly-elected MLA said that he will work for the all-round development of Pipli under the guidance of Naveen Patnaik.
Notably, Rudrapratap Maharathy won the prestigious Pipli bypoll by nearly 21000 votes, defeating BJP candidate Ashrit Pattanayak.
The BJD’s victory has been largely attributed to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s good governance and people-centric development works in Pipli.
