Kolkata: Noted Bengali and Odia singer Nirmala Mishra has passed away at her residence here on Sunday. She was 81.
As per reports, the veteran signer died after suffering a massive heart attack. She had been battling age-related ailments for some time.
Mishra had lent her voice to songs in several Bengali and Odia films during her career.
Nirmala Mishra was a recipient of the Sangeet Sudhakar Balakrushna Das Award, which was conferred on the singer for her lifetime contribution to Odia music.
