Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Abinas Nayak has won the popular cooking show MasterChef India Season 6.
The 25-year old Hyderabad based engineer had a tough competition with fellow contestant Oindrila Bala to win the Rs 25 lakhs award.
Born in Ganjam District, Abinas has been taking part in many of the famous cooking show in India. But the luckiest one being the MasterChef Season 6 hosted by Vikash Khanna. His style of cooking that included traditional Odia dishes with a western touch mesmerized the judges.
The simple yet magnificent recipes prepared by Abinas were appreciated very much including the judges Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Vineet Bhatia from day one. The Chicken Besara recipe – a mix of traditional Odia dish Besara with western touch is an experiment with the tangy mustard flavor that captured his talent in the show from the beginning.
Earlier, Abinas Nayak brought laurels to Odisha winning the Masterchef Lokicooks Fellowship 2019.
