Odisha: 10 Dists Receive over 200 mm Rainfall

Bhubaneswar: Ten districts in Odisha have received over 200 mm rainfall in the last two days, said Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Jena today.

The average rainfall in the State in the last two days was 156 mm while the average till date in September has been estimated at 154 mm, the SRC said.
He further said that all districts, expect Nabarangpur have received above the normal rainfall.

Angul and Subarnapur districts have recorded the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours. While Talcher in Angul recorded maximum rainfall of 394 mm, Biramaharajpur in Subarnapur recorded 372 mm rainfall respectively during the period.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said that depression now over north Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood moved west-northwestwards during past 6 hours with a speed of 12kmph.

It is very likely to weaken into a wellmarked low pressure during next 24 hours and continue to move WNW across MadhyaPradesh during the next 48 hours.
