Bhubaneswar: Odisha has achieved an impressive 25 per cent growth in GST collection in March 2021 as compared to the corresponding month in the previous year, indicating that the state’s economy is on the path of revival amid COVID-19 pandemic.
The total GST collection for the month of March was Rs 3,285.29 crore against Rs 2,632.88 crore in March 2020, according to the data given by the Union Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
Odisha had registered a growth of 20 per cent in GST collection in February against the national average of 7 per cent collecting Rs 3,340.56 crore. The GST collection in February 2020 was Rs 2,790.16 crore.
