Bhubaneswar: All State Government offices throughout Odisha will remain closed on Saturdays in September.
All departments of Odisha Government and sub-ordinate offices in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Twin City will function with 50 per cent employees during the month of September.
An order in this regard has been issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department on Monday.
“The departments or head of offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack may decide the manner of selection of employees who will attend office. However, the essential offices/services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, police, fire services, health services, municipal services, etc shall function in full strength,” the order said.
“All precautionary to curtail the spread of COVID 19 will be strictly followed by the Departments as well as the employees. In case of detection of any COVID case among the office employees, the concerned office will follow the protocol issued by the GA&PG Department,” the order reads.
“The officers/staff who have been provided with VPN shall work from home, when not assigned roster duty. They must be available to attend to any office work of urgent nature, at short notice and be available on telephone at all times.
Besides, the administrative departments will decide about the scale of operations in the subordinate and field offices,” the order added.
