Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated foreign sand artists who participated in the 8th International Sand Art Festival held on the pristine Chandrabhaga Beach in Konark.
The Chief Minister felicitated the artists from USA, Ireland, Denmark, Russia, Canada, and Togo at a function at Lok Seva Bhawan here on Thursday.
The eighth edition of the International Sand Art Festival saw participation of 121 artists from across India and an artist each from six foreign countries.
Held at the Chandrabhaga Beach, 3 km from Konark temple, the sand art festival promotes Odisha and its wonderful tourism opportunities.
It also celebrates sand sculptures produced by skillful sand artists.
The five-day long festival will conclude today.
