Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid humble tributes to the architect of Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 130th birth anniversary.
In a Twitter post, the Chief Minister mentioned that Dr. Ambedkar will always be remembered for championing social justice and relentless efforts to empower the underprivileged, marginalised and downtrodden.

Born on this day in 1891, Ambedkar was an eminent jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination towards the Dalits and supported the rights of women and workers. He died on December 6, 1956. He is also known for being the architect of the Indian constitution.
In 1990, Ambedkar was conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.
