Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his humble tributes to freedom fighter Radhanath Rath on his birth anniversary.
Radhanath Rath was born 6 December 1896 at Athagarh. He was the staunch disciple and follower of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das. He started his career in journalism joining the then Odia weekly “The Samaja” which was started under the editorial of Gopabandhu Das.
Rath joined the Quit India Movement in 1942 and was imprisoned for two years.

He was elected five times to the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
He died on 11 February 1998 at Cuttack.
