Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is expected to attend the Niti Aayog’s Governing Council meeting today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chairing the meeting where issues related to agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and human resource development will be discussed, according to an official statement.
The Governing Council is the apex body of Niti Aayog. It includes all chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories (UTs), several union ministers and senior government officials.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to skip the meeting, according to reports.
The Governing Council meets regularly and its first meeting took place on February 8, 2015.
The meeting could not be held last year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
