Bhubaneswar: Keeping the commitment made to the nation on helping states grappling with Medical Oxygen shortages, Odisha continues to be the savior. In the last 37 days, more than 1319 Oxygen tankers carrying about 24264 metric tons of Liquid Medical Oxygen have been sent to 15 states and union territories of the country. Odisha police is doing an exemplary work by facilitating prompt loading, transportation and supply of the Liquid Medical Oxygen. It is providing a dedicated corridor to the tankers for hassle free movement.
Ever since the supplies started from the state, Andhra Pradesh has been sent the highest number of tankers at 402. Likewise, Telangana, Hariyana and Tamilnadu have been sent 349, 177 and 134 tankers respectively.
The maximum number of tankers at 624, have been dispatched from Rourkela. Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Angul have sent 301, 273 and 121 tankers respectively.
