Odisha Govt Announces Complete Shutdown in Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore Districts

Bhubaneswar: With the spike in the positive cases of COVID-19, the Odisha Government has announced complete shutdown in Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore districts for next 60 hours.

The 60 hours shutdown will be in force from 10 PM tonight (23.04.20) to 10 AM (26.04.20)

In a special press briefing, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said since 14 April there is no positive cases in Bhubaneswar, however spike in positive COVID-19 cases in Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore poised a serious problem before us.

To check the spread of Coronavirus, like Bhubaneswar, the Government has decided to impose complete shutdown in these three districts, he added.

Meanwhile, extra troops have been deployed to seal the boundary with West Bengal completely.
