Odisha Govt Not to Close Schools with Strength of Less Than 20 Students

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided not to close schools with strength of less than 20 students. 

This has been informed by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash here today.

Earlier, it was decided that schools with less than enrolment of 20 students will be closed from this academic year.

In view of COVID-19 pandemic, all schools will enroll the students. Admission in all schools including aided and non-aided schools across the State will commence from June 8 and continue till July 15, the Minister said.

Meanwhile, the Mass Education Department has decided to halt evaluation of Matric and Plus Two exams answer sheets during the weekend shutdown in 11 districts of the State.
