Odisha Govt Steps up Efforts to Provide Safe Drinking Water and Street Lights to All ULBs by March 2020
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has stepped up its efforts to provide safe drinking water and street lights in all the Urban Local Bodies of the State by March 2020.
Informing this, Odisha’s Housing and Urban Department Minister Pratap Jena said, “We have a target to provide safe and potable drinking water to all the 114 ULBs like the NAC area, Municipal Areas and Corporation Areas by 2020”.
Talking to the media, the Minister further said that the construction of new street lights and maintenance of old street lights in all the ULBs areas will be met in the same deadline.
Though the deadline is set for March 2020 to provide water connectivity to every household and construction & maintenance of street lights in the 114 ULBs by March ’20, the government will try to complete it by December 31, much before the targeted time, he added.
