Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will release the second installment of financial assistance under Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme to the farmers next month.
Informing this, Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture Saurabh Garg said that eligible farmers will get the second of KALIA assistance in November.
The farmers, who have been found to be eligible after verification in August, will be given the KALIA funds, he said after a meeting with Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the innovative scheme last year to bring agricultural prosperity, reduce poverty and bring about all-round development of farmers.
