Bhubaneswar: In the wake of Covid-19 pandamic and rapid stride in the number of coronavirus positive cases, in the state, the Odisha Government today suspended all scheduled meetings of various committees of the state Assembly.
A legislator from Odisha’s Balasore district has been tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Speaking to media, Assembly Speaker, Surya Narayan Patro said in view of current COVID-19 situation, the state Government yesterday directed to suspend all committee meetings scheduled in the coming days.
“Both the Ministry of Health and the Odisha Health Department said that July will be very crucial. We are also witnessing rapid increase in the Covid-19 cases in this month. we have cancelled all scheduled meetings,” said the Speaker.
