Berhampur: In response to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s call to help the destitute people at this corona pandemic, the ruling Biju Janata Dal’s social service wing ‘Odisha Mo-Parivar’ has once again come forward to show its act of humanity and set good examples for others to emulate.
As per reports, the Odisha Mo-Parivar team led by Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda, who is also one of the general secretaries of the social service wing, helped the conduct of last rites of a woman in Berhampur city.
The body of Saraswati Sahu, an unmarried woman living near Kapileshwar Peta Chowk in Berhampur, was unattended by the people even though it had been lying for several hours due to corona scare.
On getting the news, the Berhampur MLA immediately rushed to the spot and conducted the last rites of the woman with full respect.
“Following the ideals of our Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Odisha Mo-Parivar is committed to provide helping hands to the needy and destitute people”, said Panda.
Meanwhile, the efforts of Berhampur MLA and Odisha Mo-Parivar in this pandemic time have been highly appreciated in various quarters and will inspire other MLAs in the district and state.
