Cuttack: In a significant development, it has been decided to accept applicants for new driving licence in 15 RTOs in Odisha from October 8, informed the State Transport Authority (STA) today.
The 15 RTOs are Chandikhol, Barbil, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Phulbani, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Rayagada, Angul, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Boudh, Deogarh, Malkangiri and Bhanjanagar.
Officials said that the decision to allow new application was taken after demand for slots has been come down in these RTOs.
Notably, various services related to driving licence were earlier suspended from March in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
