Bhubaneswar: Odisha today recorded its biggest single day spike in the number of Coronavirus cases as 20 more new cases have been identified in the state. While 17 new cases recorded in Ganjam District, 3 cases have come from Mayurbhanj. This is for the first time three new cases have been recorded in Mayurbhanj District. With this the total number of cases has reached 205 in the state. All the new infections are recorded among Surat returnees who were in quarantine after their return.
While Jajpur tops the list with 55 cases, khordha has 47 and Balasore has 25 Covid-19 cases. Likewise, Ganjam, Bhadrak and Sundergarh have 21, 21 and 12 cases. After recovery of 61 cases, the number of active cases in the state as of Thursday stands at 142. Two people have died due to Coronavirus in the state.
