Kandhamal: In a major breakthrough, security forces on Thursday busted Maoist camp near Lengerimunda village under Chakapad police limits of Kandhamal district.
The security forces swung into action, following reliable information about the presence of Maoists and launched an operation.
While the security forces were combing the area, Maoist fired heavily at the security forces and in retaliation, the security forces have fired.
The Maoists however, escaped from the spot taking the benefit of dense jungle and difficult terrain.
Police have recovered one detonator, two hand grenades and two packets of explosives from the spot.
