Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized one illegal leopard skin in Kandhamal district and arrested one wildlife criminal in this connection.
The STF, with help of Tikabali forest officials, seized one illegal leopard hide near Chakapad, Kandhamal.
The arrested wildlife criminal has been identified as Birenmitra Nayak of Kandhamal.
The accused person could not produce any authority in support of the possession of the seized leopard skin, for which he has been detained and handed over to Tikabali Forest officials under the Phulbani Forest Division for necessary legal action, the STF stated.
