Bhubaneswar: Odisha will conduct at least 10,000 COVID-19 tests a day in a bid to prevent the spread the virus, said an official.
The coming 14 days are very crucial for the Odisha’s fight against the coronavirus. The State will be conducting 3,000 rapid antigen tests and 7,000 RT-PCR tests to detect Covid- 19.
The government will procure another 200,000 antigen testing kits, informed Director of Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, Dr. Ajay Parida.
More tests will be conducted in conducted in four worst affected districts – Ganjam, Khordha, Jajpur and Cuttack, and Rourkela Municipal Corporation area in Sundargarh district. In addition, the government is keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 situations in all districts, he added.
