Bhubaneswar: Usha Padhi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, today visited the Kharavela Bhawan in Bhubaneswar and discussed various issues regarding the aviation sector in Odisha.
She had an elaborate interaction with Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary, E&IT and all other stakeholders about the various ongoing aviation projects of Odisha. They also discussed about the development of Airports at Puri, Rourkela, Bhawanipatna and Jeypore.
The Rourkela and Jeypore airports are in the final stages of completion and will be ready to cater the demands under the UDAN scheme very soon.
Usha Padhi also discussed about air connectivity issues with these new airports.
The process under the UDAN scheme for new connectivity will be shortly finalised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Government of Odisha jointly.
