Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Odisha Government has decided to impose ban on single-use plastic items in all urban areas from October 2, in line with the Prime Minister’s announcement during his Independence Day address this year.
This has been informed by Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha here today.
He also said that the Forest and Environment Department will implement the order in letter and spirit after it’s approved by the Chief Minister.
