Odisha to Prepare Database of COVID-19 Healthcare Professionals for Vaccination

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has initiated steps for preparation of database of COVID-19 healthcare workers and professionals for vaccination.

The State Health and Family Welfare Department has asked various associations of healthcare professionals, such as Indian Medical Association (Odisha State Branch), AYUSH Association, Nursing Association, Paramedic Workers’ Association, and Private Hospital Owners’ Association to provide data for creation of database by October 29.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health & Family Welfare Department) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra wrote to the associations in this regard.

“It is anticipated that Covid-19 vaccine may soon be available and Govt. of India has communicated for preparedness for introduction of new vaccine and creation of a data base of Health Care Workers (HCW) in both Govt. & Private health settings. In this context, you are requested to communicate to the members of your association to contact the Collectors/Municipal Commissioners/CDM & PHOs / ADPHO (FW) of their concerned districts for enrolling all Health Care Workers in the data base,” the letter reads.
