Odisha Vigilance Sleuths Arrest Forester And Guard For Taking Rs 28 Thousand Bribe

Nuapada: The Odisha Vigilance Department officials have arrested one Forester Purnachandra Nayak and Forest Guard Shabnam Fidous for taking bribe of Rs 28 thousand from a complainant. The incident occurred at Kopia Forest beat under Sinapali Police station limits in Nuapada.

According to reports, the forest department officials had demanded Rs 30 thousand from the complainant to release his vehicle and and one wooden bed seized from him.

The operation was carried out by Nuapada Vigilance DSP Dinabandhu Behera, Bhawanipatna DSP Sadananda Pani, Inspector Pramila Suna and Alok Mahapatra.
