Bhubaneswar: Weekend shutdown remains in force across 10 districts in Odisha from today.
These districts have been included in Category-B for recording a test positivity rate of more than 5%.
The districts are Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
These districts will see shutdown restrictions for 48 hours starting from 6 am on Saturday, as per latest COVID-19 guidelines of the Odisha Government.
The rest 20 districts, which are in Category-A with less than a TPR of 5%, are free from weekend shutdown.
The districts under Category A are Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, and Rayagada.
The weekly shutdown will no more be imposed in the Category A districts, but it will continue in the rest 10 districts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The night curfew will remain in force across the State till the further decision of the government.
