Bhubaneswar: Odisha bagged seven medals at the 36th National Junior Athletics Championships held at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium at Guwahati, Assam.
Odia sprint hurdler Sabita Toppo won two medals – Gold in U-16 Long Jump (5.59m) and Silver in 80M Hurdles (U-16 Girls). Manisha Merel clinched a Silver medal in U-20 Long Jump (5.63m).
Similarly, Rajendra Sidhu won a Bronze medal in 80m Hurdles in U-16 boys and Omkar Prasad Nanda won a Bronze Medal in Shotput (U-14 Boys).
Prachi Maharana and Madhumita Deb also clinched one each bronze medal.
Odisha Sports & Youth Services Department has congratulated the medalists who have made the state proud in the National Championship.
