Bhubaneswar: Bringing laurels for the State yet again, Odisha’s Manisha Merel won a gold medal in the women’s long jump event at the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) here today.
Making a courageous comeback from injury layoff, the Sambalpur University long-jumper clinched her third gold medal by slating a 6.22 metre jump.
Merel, a native of Sundergarh, is representing Sambalpur University at the KIUG.
