Odisha’s Sudarsan Pattnaik to Represent India in International Sand Sculpting Championship 2019

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s famous sand artist and padmashree awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik will take part in International Sand Sculpting Championship 2019 to be held in Boston in US next month.

The Puri-born sand artist has received the invitation to represent India for the championship from organizer Meredith Corso.

As many as 15 sculptors from across the world will be participating in the festival, which will kick-start from July 21 to July 28.

Pattnaik had represented India in more than 60 international sand sculpture championships across the world and brought laurels to the country winning many awards.
