Odisha’s Tally of COVID Recovered Cases Passes 40,000-Mark

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s tally of COVID-19 recovered tally passed 40,000-mark as 1521 patients cured from the virus on Saturday.

“Another 1521 COVID19 patients have recovered and are being discharged on 15.8.2020”, the Health and Family Welfare Department informed through twitter.

The total recovered cases of Odisha now stand at 40726 and the active cases at 16013.

Of the latest recoveries, Ganjam reported the maximum recovery of 272 patients, followed by Khordha 231 and Cuttack 166, the Health Department said.

Besides, 93 patients from Rayagada, 89 from Sundergarh, 80 from Puri, 77 from Kalahandi, 61 from Balasore, 56 from Nayagarh, 54 from Gajapati, 54 from Sambalpur and 52 from Jajpur recovered from COVID-19.

Similarly, 46 patients from Koraput, 26 from Bhadrak, 26 from Kandhamal, 22 from Malkangiri, 19 from Keonjhar, 16 from Jagatsinghpur, 13 from Angul, 13 from Bolangir, 13 from Kendrapara, 10 from Bargarh, 10 from Jharsuguda, 9 from Sonepur, 6 from Mayurbhanj, 5 from Boudh and 2 from Nabarangpur have also been discharged from hospitals post recoveries.
