Bhubaneswar: As the World observes Hiroshima Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged all to join hands to build a future for mankind where nuclear weapon cease to be a part of it and work for lasting peace.
Hiroshima reminds us about the unspeakable suffering, destruction and unfathomable tragedy of nuclear bomb, the CM wrote on his Twitter handle.
“On Hiroshima Day lets all join hands to build a future for mankind where nuclear weapon cease to be a part of it and work for lasting peace”, Naveen urged.

Hiroshima Day is observed on August 6 to promote peace in the world. It is the day when in 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped in the city of Hiroshima, Japan. On this day first time use of nuclear weapon was seen and just after three days of Hiroshima another nuclear weapon was dropped in Nagasaki.
