Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of International Human Solidarity Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has pledged to ensure respect, safety and dignity for all.
He said that socio-economic growth for the people has been at the core of his government’s development programs.
“Eradication of poverty and social evils while ushering in socio-economic growth for the people has been at the core of Odisha Government’s development programs”, the CM wrote on his Twitter post.
“On International Human Solidarity Day, we pledge to ensure respect, safety & dignity for all”, the CM tweeted.

People across the world observe International Human Solidarity Day, which is also known as ‘IHSD’, on December 20 to mark the importance of “unity and solidarity” for the overall development of the world.
The United Nations Millennium Declaration (UNMD), which had announced that IHSD will be observed on December 20 every year, says that solidarity is a fundamental value that is essential to international relations.
