One More COVID-19 Patient Dies in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: One more COVID-19 patient died in Odisha, the Health and Family Welfare Department informed on Saturday.

“Regret to report the death of a 60-year old Covid positive male of Puri district, while under treatment at hospital. He was also suffering for long from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease”, the Department tweeted.

With this, the death toll due to the virus increased to 12 in the State.

Meanwhile, as many as 179 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 4856, said the Information and Public Relations Department.

Of the new cases, 150 cases have been detected from quarantine centres across the State, while the rest 29 are the local contacts, it added.
