Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) today donated Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for restoration works in the cyclone Fani-affected areas in the State.
Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain and OSCB president Akshaya Kumar Mohanty met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Lok Seva Bhawan and handed over the check in the presence of other officials.
The Corporation Minister also apprised the Chief Minister about the various activities of the bank, sources said.
The extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani, which hit the coast of Odisha on May 3 this year, caused extensive damage and impacted life and property of more than 1.65 crore people in 14 districts of the State.
