Panchayat Polls: BJD’s Leading Streak Continues, Ahead in 246 ZP Seats Out of 295

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal is leading in 246 ZP seats out of the 295 seats for which the trends have been received till 12 noon. The BJP is leading in just 31 seats and the Congress has been able to lead in just 13 seats. Others are leading in five seats. The Biju Janata Dal is taking a clean sweep in many districts including Kandhamal, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Jajpur, Malkangiri and Nuapada. In all the other districts, the Biju Janata Dal candidates are leading in the maximum number of seats for which trends have been received by 12 noon.
