Berhampur: In a bid to intensify its campaign on women’s safety, the police department in Ganjam district today flagged off the Pink Patrol vehicles for women cops under the Nirbhaya scheme.
The pink-colored Scooties will be used by the women cops to campaign on women’s safety, said Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai while launching the initiative.
As many as 21 vehicles will be distributed to different police stations in Ganjam Police District for women’s safety campaign and 11 such vehicles will be given to cops in Berhampur Police District.
Every police station will be allotted one vehicle each and will be used by women police personnel for works related to women safety and security, said Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra.
