President, PM Greet People of Odisha on Utkala Dibasa

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the people of Odisha on the occasion of Utkala Dibasa; the day marks the formation of the State on linguistic basis on April 1, 1936.

President Ram Nath Kovind hoped that the future of the state will be bright, peaceful and prosperous.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed for Odisha’s constant growth and prosperity in the times to come.

Greetings people on the occasion, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said the nation has always benefitted from the contributions of the people of the state.

Earlier today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wished everyone on the occasion and has called all to be united and fight Coronavirus.

In a tweet, the CM said. “We Odias are known for our bravery but it is time for us to show our unity and integrity to fight against Corona”.

Naveen also paid his humble tributes to the great personalities who helped Odia language, literature and culture to flourish.
