Puri: The Puri district administration has lifted the restrictions imposed to conduct the last rites at Swargadwar.
The administration has also eased the restrictions clamped for the immersion of ashes at Mahodadhi. However, only 10 persons will be allowed for the funeral.
In the wake of rising cases of COVID-19, the district administration had imposed restrictions on the cremation of bodies at Swargadwar by non- residents of Puri on January 8. The restrictions came into effect from January 10.
