SJTA Announces 2nd Installment of Rs 5000 for Puri Srimandir Servitors
Puri: Lending a helping hand in the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided to provide financial assistance amounting Rs 5,000 as second installment to sevayats (servitors) of Srimandir.
Speaking to media, Chief Administrator of SJTA Dr. Kishan Kumar said, “Today we have reviewed welfare programmes for the sevayats. As you know the temple remains closed and it has impacted their livelihood. We have decided to sanction a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for all sevayats,”
Earlier we had provided financial assistance of Rs 5,000 and this will 2nd such installment to be provided to all sevayats, Kumar added.
The temple administration is in touch with Bayanika and SHGs to produce around 5,000 face masks that will be distributed among sevayats .
The design of the Sambalpuri mask will be finalised within a day or two, he added.
Kumar also thanked all sevayats, the people of Puri for the smooth conduct of Snana Yatra.
He further expected similar cooperation from the people in future.
When asked about Rath Yatra, he said chariot constriction is in full swing and it is going on as per the schedule.
