Puri: Special Meeting Held to Discuss Arrangements for Chandan Yatra and Rath Anukula Rituals

Puri: A special meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb on Monday for discussions on arrangements to be made for Chandan Yatra and Rath Anukula (start of construction of chariots of Lord Jagannath) rituals, which are scheduled to begin on the auspicious day of Akshay Trutiya on May 15.

The meeting was attended by Dr Krishan Kumar, Chief Administrator, SJTA, C.R. Mohapatra, Endowment Commissioner, Samarth Verma, Collector, Puri, Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh SP Puri, Lalatendu Jena, Additional Secretary Law and other temple officials.

Focus was laid on making arrangements for smooth conduct of rituals pertaining to Chandana Yatra with compliance to COVID protocols. Further discussions will be held in Chattisa Nijog meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
