Rural Development Dept to Fall in ‘Mo Sarkar’ Fold from Feb

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to bring transparency in the administration, the Rural Development Department would be included under the fold of Mo Sarkar from February 2020, said Department Secretary Pradeep Jena today.

Speaking to media, he said as many as 4300 villages does not have road connectivity in the State and after the inclusion, many new roads will be built while several others will be redesigned.

Rural development aims at finding ways to improve rural lives with the participation of rural people themselves, so as to meet the required needs of rural communities, he added.

Mo Sarkar is the feedback-based governance model was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Gandhi Jayanti.
