Setting Example, Quarantined Labourers From Surat Give Government School a Facelift

Berhampur: While there is much brouhaha going on regarding indiscipline in quarantine centers by some of the people who have returned from Surat and other places, there are other instances which will surely inspire us. One such example is the discipline and dedication shown by some of the youth staying in the Nimakhandi quarantine center of Kukudakhandi Block in Ganjam district.

The center, set up in the Nimakhandi Primary School, has 72 inmates belong to Krushnachai village of Seragada block. The members decided to give a facelift to the government school and set an example for others. On their own, the members of the center are utilizing their time productively and for the betterment of the school. From the past two days, they are dedicating themselves to the beautification of the school. They have cleaned the school premises and are transforming the school compound into a beautiful one by clearing all bushes and rubbles. With help from some locals and arranging equipments from the village, they are working for the betterment of the school.

All these activities are being done with keeping social distance norms and abiding rules. The villagers, who are very happy to see the disciplined work of the members of the quarantine center, have welcomed the efforts and said that we have never seen such type of discipline. They are doing good work for the school and the village.

While India and the world continue to fight the coronavirus pandemic and remain in lockdown, quarantined labourers have just raised the bar in terms of productivity and doing things to stay cheerful. This is surely going to inspire others who are staying in quarantine centers of the state and lead to some productive work along with development of the society.
