Berhampur: In one of the shocking accidents of this year, six persons have been killed when their car skidded and overturned from the national highway Five near Mandasa in Srikakulam District.
The deceased were returning to Berhampur after Darshan at the Simhachalam Temple in Visakhapatnam. One seriously injured person has been shifted to hospital in Palasa. All the persons killed belong to one family and Berhampur.
According to locals, the accident happened when the driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle and dashed against a culvert after which the car plunged into a canal.
