Puri: In a significant development, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today filed an FIR against e-commerce giant Amazon for selling Nirmalya prasad of Srimandir on its website.
According to reports, SJTA Administrator (Development) Ajay Kumar Jena lodged a complaint at the Singhadwara police station in this regard. In its complaint, he alleged that Nirmalya is being sold online by Amazon without the permission of the temple administration.
In another similar development, the Suar Mahasuar Nijog had also filed an FIR in this regard.
Notably, Sambhunath Khuntia, a servitor of the temple, had earlier, also filed a complaint against Amazon India.
The Nirmalya is being sold on the website at Rs 290 per packet Nirmalya with free delivery charges.
